Our Loft Ladder is made from Larch (most are Spruce or Pine) - the advantages are: Larch is more hard-wearing as a result the ladder is less likely to show signs of wear and tear; Much stronger than pine giving a "rock-solid" feel under foot; The loft ladder WILL keep its "shape" whereas Spruce & Pine are susceptible to "twisting" if not properly treated; Beautiful finish to the ladder with few, if any, knots and with less chance of having splinters. 80mm extra deep, non-slip steps for your comfort and safety.The loft Ladder is delivered fully assembled, including insulated hatch door, architrave, operating pole hook, and its own surround ready to be fitted. 4 different sizes available. The Loft ladders hatch door has a tough, wipe clean finish meaning no decoration required. The 545mm wide Loft Ladders are intended to fit in between the joists of a modern truss roof system, making installation easier. Comes equipped with two matching handrails for your safety. Very easy to use - comes with spring assisted hatch door and operating pole hook. Will fit almost any roof space - very shallow loft clearance needed. Tough Mortise and tenon joints are used in the construction of the steps. Ladder comes with a fully insulated, 35mm thick loft door and a rubber seal around the opening, helping to keep heat loss to a minimum. Trap Door features a buried lock mechanism, giving a smooth finish (no ugly hook as found on many of our competitors ladders) .
